Simplicity is a very important driving force. A complicated route offering cannot be communicated simply. Sveum Design AS has collaborated with Strategisk Ruteplan AS to produce a greatly simplified and strengthened public transport system in Tønsberg, Trondheim, Oslo, Kristiansand and Bergen, where a number of low-frequency bus routes have been replaced by a small number of high-frequency routes. The aim is a service that is easy to understand and easy to use. Large workplaces, such as the hospital and in the city center, will have far better services than today. The solution requires funding from City Package Tønsberg, and is expected to help far more people travel by bus in Tønsberg and the surrounding area than today. An exciting assignment with the opportunity to think carefully about symbolism, structure and legibility.
