Contact form
When you fill out the contact form, your name, email, phone number and message are sent to us through the service Web3Forms, which forwards the enquiry to our email address. Web3Forms acts as a data processor on our behalf and does not retain the content once it has been sent. The enquiry itself stays in our mailbox for as long as it is relevant to the client relationship.
We use the information only to reply to you. If you tick the newsletter box, we also use your email address for that until you unsubscribe.
Embedded content from other websites
Articles on this site may include embedded content, such as videos from Vimeo and YouTube. Videos are not loaded until you click them. Once you do, the content behaves as if you had visited the site it comes from, and those sites may collect information about you, use cookies and track what you do, including if you are logged in with them.
Cookies
Cookies are small text files stored in your browser. We use them to see how the site is used, and to measure whether our ads lead to enquiries.
Nothing is set before you say yes. The first time you visit, you are asked to choose. If you pick "Necessary only", no tracking loads. Your choice is stored locally in your browser for up to a year, and we ask again once it expires.
We group cookies into three categories:
Necessary
Make the site work, and remember your consent choice. These cannot be switched off, and they do not track you.
Statistics
Google Analytics (GA4). Shows us how many people visit, which pages are read, and where visitors come from. We use this to understand traffic, not to identify you.
Marketing
Measures whether our ads lead to enquiries, and lets us show ads to people who have visited the site. This category covers:
- Google Ads, measuring when an ad click leads to you getting in touch.
- Meta (Facebook and Instagram).
- TikTok.
- Snapchat.
If you decline marketing, none of these four load at all. For Google we also use Google Consent Mode, so Google sets no cookies and receives no advertising identifiers unless you have said yes.
Changing or withdrawing your consent
You can change your choice here at any time. The banner returns and you can switch categories on or off. If you withdraw consent, tracking stops immediately.
You can also delete or reject cookies in your browser at any time. Where to find the setting depends on your browser. On a PC, CTRL + SHIFT + Delete usually does it. If you use several browsers, you need to do it in each one. You can also opt out of advertising networks sharing data between themselves by clicking here.
Who we share information with
We do not sell information about you, and we share it only with the data processors needed to run the site: Web3Forms for the contact form, and, if you have consented, Google, Meta, TikTok and Snapchat for statistics and ad measurement. Several of these are located outside the EEA, and transfers are made on the basis of the EU Standard Contractual Clauses.
How long we keep information
Data in Google Analytics is deleted after 14 months. Your consent choice is stored for up to a year. Email enquiries are kept for as long as they are relevant to the client relationship, then deleted.
Your rights
You have the right to access the information we hold about you, and to have it corrected or deleted. Email kristine@sveumdesign.no and we will sort it out. If you believe we are handling your data unlawfully, you can complain to the Norwegian Data Protection Authority.
